On Saturday 28 August 2010 NUI opened its doors to the public as part of Merrion Square Heritage Open Day. Approximately 300 people visited the NUI office to view the mural paintings on the first floor.
Now in its fifth year, the Open Day is organised by Electricity Supply Board Number, 29 Fitzwilliam Street Lower, in association with NUI and other inhabitants of the Square.
