Through providing a supportive framework for confederate action and reflection, and through providing central services to the NUI institutions, to enable the Constituent Universities collectively, through their confederate strength, to maintain a position of primacy among Irish universities and to enhance and enrich each of the Constituent Universities and Recognised Colleges, individually, in their teaching, research, general development and public standing.
